In central British Columbia, there are 3 Recovery Implementation Groups (RIGs) dedicated to developing action plans for ensuring long-term stability of caribou herds that have been federally designated as threatened:
  1.   The North-Central BC Northern Caribou RIG;
  2.   The Central Rocky Mountains Northern Caribou RIG; and
  3.   The Hart and Cariboo Mountains Caribou RIG.
This website is intended to provide information about each of the recovery groups and their activities, the caribou herds that they are focused on, the research results that are being generated, the management activities undertaken in support of recovery, and the organizations and people involved.
